Bask in the essence of South Korea as we bring you to places that best represents this country’s culture and history.

Bulguksa Temple and the Seokguram Grotto are the 24th national treasures of Korea, also listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Completed back in year 774 during the Silla Dynasty, Bulguksa Temple and the Seokguram Grotto exemplifies some of the best Buddhist sculptures in the world, thus attracting lots of locals and foreign visitors alike. Since the temple sits on a hill, visitors will also be rewarded with a stunning vista of rolling mountains on a clear day.

Since Busan is a coastal state, it will be a waste to not enjoy its coastal beauty before leaving the country. One of the best place for coastal view is Taejongdae, a natural park in Busan where you can see magnificent cliffs facing the ocean and walk along the coastal line among dense evergreen trees. There’s also an observatory, amusement park, a lighthouse and a cruise ship terminal in the Taejongdae compound.

Since Busan is located by the sea, it’s a state famed for providing freshly caught seafood. At Jagalchi Fish Market, visitors can see how the local Koreans go about their daily lives, selling freshly caught seafood, homemade kimchi, marinated crabs, dried seafood, local produce and more. You can even buy the seafood from the market and bring it upstairs to the restaurant, where the owners will gladly cook for you. To savour the freshness of seafood, Koreans like to have it raw, Hoe (raw fish) and Sannakji (raw octopus) are some of the most popular dishes that are widely enjoyed by the locals. Do try it for yourself!
